Obituary of Ralph Joseph Dobson

Ralph Joseph Dobson passed to heaven on July 18. 2023. Ralph was born on October 24. 1930 to the late Elizabeth “Petroski” and Stanley Dobryzn. He was preceded by sisters Dorothy Peslen. Jean Vallerio, Rita Kopchak, Ann Bressi-yanchuck of Mt. Caramel PA and bothers Joseph if Syracuse, Stanley of Last Vegas, Nevada, niece Patricia of Syracuse and nephew Edward of Mt. Caramel PA. He is survived by sister Barbara Werntz Benjock, A loving and faithful companion Patricia Gable and daughter Kathleen Vogelsang, and niece Debbie Kopchak, as well as, many more loving nieces and nephews. Ralph was a graduate of Mt Caramel high school in 1948 and soon after enlisted in the army on August 23. 1948. During his service he was stationed in Virginia, Japan, and Korea receiving the army occupation Medal ( Japan), Bronze star (Korea), 1 silver campaign star (Korea), and the presidential unit citation; Good Conduct Medal. With an Honorable discharge in 1952 Ralph would later move to Buffalo NY and worked until retirement from the steel industry.

After retirement, Ralph moved to Syracuse to be closer to family and  enjoy his retirement for the next 40 years. His last known residence was Brick school terrace in Syracuse NY.

Funeral Services and Burial with Honors will be held 1PM Thursday, August 17th at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery 4069 Howlett Hill Rd Syracuse NY 13215.
