Obituary of Virginia Bartosiewicz

Virginia G. Bartosiewicz, 92, of Solvay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Konstanty and AntoinettaKorowicki. Virginia was formerly employed by Bristol Laboratories and the Syracuse Insurance Agency until her retirement.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2008, her sister, Constance Rojek in 2009 and her nephew, Joseph Rojek in 2015.Virginia was a lifelong member of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and a member of their Sacred Heart Seniors.Virginia is survived by her niece and goddaughter, Carol Rojek along with her husband, William Todeschini and their daughter, Francesca Claire.  For the past fourteen years, Carol, Bill and Francesca were Virginia’s caregivers.  She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Leonard Bartosiewicz and a sister-in-law, Emily Pisiak along with several nieces and nephews.A funeral mass in celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 927 Park Avenue at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017.  Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery & Mausoleum in Dewitt.  Calling hours: Sunday, October 29th  2017, from 1:00PM to3:00 PM at the Hollis Funeral Home 1105 W.
