Obituary of Celestine "Tina" Maestri

Tina Maestri, 87, of Lakeland passed away on Sunday, May 7, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 21, 1929, in Syracuse, daughter of Celeste and Maria (Taffelli) Maestri.

After graduating with high honors from Solvay High School in 1946, she worked as an executive secretary at Niagara Mohawk for 30 years. She was a member of the Tyrol Club Auxiliary, Lakeland Seniors and Our Lady of Peace Church in Lakeland. You could find her at just about any festival, theater performance, or spaghetti dinner in town.  Tina was a talented artist and gardener, and also enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, and golfing. She was a generous, giving person, who never asked for anything.  She was a cherished friend to many. She especially valued her close family and had a special way of bringing everyone together.

Tina is survived by her beloved brothers, John (Fran) Maestri  and Bert Maestri,  loving nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Jean) Maestri, Sheila Maestri, Jackie (David) Marrs, Mike Maestri, Mark (Candi) Maestri, Tina (Chris) Maroney, and Burt Maestri, great nieces and nephews, Andrea, John, Serena, Anna, Angelina, Marc, Megan, Matthew, Marisa, Madysen, and many cousins.

Private services were held per her wishes.
