Duane was on the same boat with my grandfather in the Navy during WWII and he was very kind and generous. He gave me some info on my grandfather, who I never met and I will never forget that. Rest in Peace, Duane.

Duane will be dearly missed by myself, my children and husband and especially our dog, Milly. Duane was the kindest most sincere friend and neighbor you could ask for, just a year ago around this same time he could be found feeding our dog for us while my daughter was in the hospital. We loved to talk about the novel "Unbreakable" I only wish it could be true for him.

We're both so sorry of the loss of Duane. He was a good employer to both of us.
Art has many fond memories of fishing, hunting, bowling, sporting events, etc.
We're sorry we can't be there for the celebration of his life. We're spending our winters in Murrells Inlet, SC until April.
Our sympathy to Mary Jane, Sue Ellen, Greg, Jim and the extended family.

We were fortunate to get to know Duane very well and spend many hours together fishing and enjoying Sand and McClintok Lakes. He was very generous sharing his secrets and his special "jigs" that he made, and his "slib bob" technique. Our son Peter was particularly fond of Duane, and Duane was also generous with his time and attention to all of the Baker family up at Sand Lake. Don't forget the fireworks he brought! He will be dearly missed by all of us.
Our love reaches out to Mary Jane, Sue and Mike and the whole family.
Best regards,Mike, Diane, Peter, and Kendra Baker

Jim, Gregg, Sue Ellen, and Mary,
It was an honor to care for your father/husband at the Veterans Home. He spoke of how special you all are to him on a daily basis. It was a difficult decision for you all to have him come live with us but he brought a smile to our faces when he spoke of his fishing trips, bowling, traveling and his wonderful kids/grandkids. He reminded me of why I went into nursing and how important it is to live your life to the fullest. Thank you so much for sharing your husband, dad and grandfather with me. I will never forget him.
Sincerely,
Teresa Davis AKA "ESTER"

The Baker family have been blessed by knowing the Walters family since the 1970's at Sand Lake and have made many wonderful memories. Duane will be sorely missed. I always enjoyed chatting and sharing stories (yes fish stories). Much love to all the Walters and Brosseau family and much love hugs and kisses to Mary Jane, a dynamite lady. Our sincerest condolences and sympathies. xxoo
