I played ball with Dave for many years in Syracuse. We were a great team and Dave was a fearless third baseman and he didn’t miss much. Off the field we went to clambakes, parties at my house, went out to dinner and had many beers. I look back on those days and memories and I smile to myself to think of how lucky I was to have Dave as a friend. I also remember how much fun we had with Gino, he always came to our games and was a true character as he was a wonderful man. He loved his son so much. It was obvious when we got together. I have not lived in Syracuse for over 40 years but those memories will always be with me. My deepest condolences to his family. He was truly one of the best guys I knew.
