Sharon (Doughty) Graves, 81, of Syracuse, N.Y., passed away surrounded by family on July 13, 2026.

Sherry is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Ronald. She is also survived by her brother Joe (Linda), sisters-in-law Judy, Hilda, Eva, and brothers-in-law Donald and Bernie, as well as a huge host of nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Al, Ron, Cathy, John, Skeeter, Ray, Bill, Laurie.

Sherry was a retired secretary from Equitable. She then worked the after school program YWCA as well as Zonta House. She loved working with the kids and always went above and beyond for them all.

Sherry was a loving family woman, who, while not having any children of her own, served as a surrogate mother to multiple of her nieces & nephews. She was the family baker and go-to person, who taught several of the family her recipes that were loved so much.

Sherry played driver for any of her nieces & nephews whenever they needed to go anywhere, no matter the time of day or night.

She also had a great love for animals. She had many of her own and fed all the strays also. Family meant everything to Sherry.

She is going to be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Crescent Ave.
