Carol M. Lewis Miller, 78, of Cleveland, NY passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Rome, NY on June 6, 1948 a daughter of the late Edgar (Sonny) Lewis and Jane Perrine Lewis.

Carol was a 1966 graduate of Camden Central Schools.

She was previously married to the late Richard Miller and from that they had two children, Scott and Heath Miller.

Carol was a devoted mother raising her two children and also taking care of many children throughout the years. After the raising of her children she went on to work for the Camden Central Schools helping with special needs children, something that was close to her heart.

After her retirement she was able to do some traveling, spend time with family, friends, and catch up on all her movies she loved. Movies always helped to transport her to another world. 

Carol was a kind, compassionate person with a beautiful smile that always made others feel good. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing whenever the chance would arise. She will be forever missed for so many things and she lived a full and happy life. 

Carol is survived by her children Scott (Emo) Miller, Taberg, NY and Heath Miller, Cleveland, NY; brother Fred (Jean) Lewis, Camden; sisters Kathy Barlow, Buffalo, NY and Nancy Dubovik, Baldwinsville, NY and a grandson, Dustyn Hite, Camden; nephew Fred Lewis Jr.; nieces Tammy Blake, Connie Barlow, Tracy Yerdon, Vicky Jeror, Dana MacFaun, Annette Yerdon, and Crystal Wishart.

Carol is predeceased by her parents Edgar and Jane Lewis; brothers Jim and Paul Lewis; nephews James and Eric Lewis; and nieces Becky Barlow and Karen Lewis and many dear friends.

As Carol wished there will be no calling hours and services will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.
