After a long illness, Michael K. Dwyer, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Mike was smart, earning a full scholarship to Syracuse University after high school and was an accomplished pianist. He lived most of his life in Syracuse, and before his father’s death, loved fly fishing and hiking with him in the Adirondacks. His great love was reading and for many years you could always find him at the library.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Florence and William J. Dwyer Sr., as well as a brother, James P. Dwyer. He is survived by brothers, William J. Dwyer Jr. (Patty) of San Jose, CA, Richard L. Dwyer (Tunde) of Aurora, CO, Ronald D. Dwyer (Savannah), of Boerne, TX and Peter E. Dwyer (Denise) of Charotte, NC and a sister, Florence D. Edberg (Robert) of Quinton, VA.

The family would like to thank Catholic Charities and most recently Crossroads Home and Loretto for their compassionate care. Troubled in life, may he finally be at peace.
