Dorothy Louise Reidy, 96, passed away peacefully on May 4th 2026, surrounded by her loving children. She was the loving widow of John E. Reidy. Dorothy and John had 59 wonderful years of marriage together. After John's retirement, they traveled throughout the Eastern United States, on many grand adventures.

Dorothy was born in Solvay, New York in 1929. She is the daughter of Mary E. Mosher Welch and Bernard I. Welch. She spent her childhood in Solvay, New York, and graduated from Solvay High School in 1946. She was the very last of her generation, in the family, to pass on. Her siblings were William Joseph Welch Sr, Bernard J Welch Jr, John Welch, Robert Francis Welch, Mary Elizabeth Welch, and Agnes Helen Welch.

Dorothy was always devoted to her children and family. Not only was she the biggest fan of each child, she was a big supporter of each team that her children were on. From bringing bushels of apples to soccer games, to sweet treats and homemade half moon cookies, to every away hockey game. Dorothy was involved in every season of their lives.

Present in every aspect, She enjoyed 3 generations of children. Dorothy was patient and understanding with her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She has been a great source of inspiration, knowledge and unconditional love throughout the years, and will be greatly missed.                The family has sent her off with our traditional 3 kisses.

Dorothy and John were avid Buffalo BILLS Fans. She was BILLS Mafia before they adopted that moniker, one of the original Greatest Of All Time, GOAT fans. Enjoying many home games while braving Buffalo's notorious weather. She was also a bingo enthusiast, and enjoyed evenings out playing bingo, right to the very end.

She is survived by her beloved children. John Reidy and Catherine Solan, Sharon Snider, Dorothy Susan and John Campanella, James and Ellen Reidy.

She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Amy Snider, Heather and Matt Kinney, Andrea and Sean Dunlap, Anthony and Amy Campanella, Stacey Snider and Cerean Lassiter, Alyssa Campanella and Darien Genao, Brett and Allie Reidy, Brandon Reidy.

She was blessed to know her precious great grandchildren. Ethan, Isabella, and Megan Kinney, Austin Snider, Kedrick Moore Jr., Graham and Grayson Dunlap, Lily Campanella, Giana Genao, and Penelope Campanella.
