Donald Gordon Caruso 71 passed away on April 8th 2026 in Syracuse NY. He was a devoted husband to Jody Caruso. They shared 46 years together married for 40.

Born in Syracuse NY to Frank and Gloria Caruso. Donald grew up in Syracuse and after serving in the United States Marine Corp spent his life working as a plumber and devoting his time to his wife and 6 children.

Donald spent his time helping anyone and everyone whenever called upon. His impact on so many lives can never be measured. He enjoyed vacations with his family, late night trips to the casino with his wife and adult kids and working around the house on never ending projects. 

He is survived by his wife Jody Caruso; children Dominic and Tracy Caruso, Benjamin and Michele Caruso, Nicholas Caruso and Tory Pellis, Anthony Caruso and Nicole Manzi, Aaron and Casey Caruso, Sarah and Brian Abbott, grandchildren, Daniel, Hailey, Paige, Calen, Cordelia, Eli, Isabelle, Lilianna, Cade, Cole, Scarlett and Aubree. 

Calling hours will be at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 West Genesee Street Syracuse NY 13204 on April 15th 2026 from 4-6 PM.

We entrust into Your loving hands Donald Caruso, a devoted husband, father, and papa, a man who spent his life in love, strength, and quiet sacrifice.

Thank You for the gift of his life
