Joseph L. Ptak, 85, of Syracuse, New York, passed away on 04/05/2026 in Crouse Community Hospital. Joseph was born in Syracuse NY to Stanley and Mary Ptak on 01/17/1941. He went to high school at Sacred Heart and graduated in 1960. He worked as a Blueprinter for General Electric for 5 years, also Bristol Myers Squib making penicillin, then worked for Shiltz as a brewer and then continued working as one even after they were purchased by Anheuser Busch until he retired in 2010. He enjoyed Fishing, working on classic cars, restoring old jukeboxes, pool tables and arcade cabinets. Joe served from 1963 to 1969 with the New York Air National Guard 108th ACW and 152nd Group Radar Communication Unit, as Staff Sergeant.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Ptak of Syracuse NY, married for 56 years. Children: Micheal J. Ptak Sr., Christopher S. Ptak, Paul M. Ptak Grandchildren Micheal J. Ptak. Jr, Zachary T. Ptak, Alexandria E. Ptak And his many Nieces, Nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Stanley X. Ptak and Mary T. Ptak, and his brother Raymond A. Ptak.
