Alan L. Spuches, 61, of Syracuse, NY, was called home to God on December 9, 2025. Born and raised in Syracuse, Alan graduated from Fowler High School and later went on to earn his associate’s degree in Architectural Design Studies. Alan was employed by Wegmans in the meat and seafood department for many years, where he took pride in his work and helping customers.

Alan was predeceased by his beloved parents, Sam and Morwenna Spuches. He is survived by his brothers Sam (Denise), Paul (Cindy), and John; his sister Cynthia; his two goddaughters, Kayla and Ashley; and several nieces and nephews.

A true movie buff, Alan especially loved Disney films. He enjoyed reading, learning new things, and was a talented DIY handyman who took on everything from laying floors to woodworking. Alan will be deeply missed by his family and friends and fondly remembered for never missing a family gathering, where he loved the food, the laughter, and the company of the people he cared about most.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday 12/19/25 at 9:30am at St Daniel's Church, 3004 Court Street, Syracuse NY 13208. Inurnment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
