Andre Bak, 63, of Syracuse, New York passed away surrounded by his family on October 17th, 2025. He was born on January 31st, 1962 in Warsaw, Poland to Zdzisław and Barbara Bąk. Andre moved to Syracuse in the 80's and found and married the love of his life, Halina. He dedicated his life to providing and taking care of his family. As a result, he has built a foundation of love  for future generations. If Andre wasn't researching another topic of life or baking bread, you could find him tinkering in the garage or backyard taking something apart and putting it back together just to see how it worked. His thirst for knowledge was endless and his pride and joy was watching his family grow. Andre's personality was big, loud, unapologetic, and one of a kind. He will be dearly missed but his memory will live on in every joke, every story, every good cup of coffee, and in every freshly baked loaf of bread. 

    Andre is survived by his wife of 36 years; children, Agnieszka (Michael) Dixon, Michal Bak, Emily (Zachary) Baldwin; and his grandchildren, Henry, Rosalie, and Walter who is on his way. He was preceded in death by his brother and parents. 

    All are welcome to the memorial service that will be held October 24th, 2025 at 9:30 am at St. Marianne Cope at St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Rd, Syracuse which will be followed by a private burial.
