Zygmunt Kordas, 80, passed away on October 13, 2025 at home.  He was the husband of Wanda Kordas.  They shared 55 years of marriage together. Born in Pawlowice, Poland on September 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Marian and Felicja.  He was employed at Lipe Rollway and Crouse Hinds as a machine operator. He was a member of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to the NYS Fair.  He would love to find funny trinkets to give to his grandchildren.  He also loved to go mushroom picking in the woods.He is survived by his wife, Wanda Kordas; his children, Malgorzata (Scott) Gerbsch, Joanna (Gerard) Sellin, Dariusz (Tammy) Kordas and Marek Kordas.  He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jason (Katharine), Tyler and Colin Gerbsch, Matthew and Benjamin Sellin, and Sophia and Darius Kordas.

A viewing will be held on October 17 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Hollis Funeral Home at 1105 West Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13204.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 9:30 in The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Avenue, Syracuse.  Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
