It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share the passing of one extraordinarily unique and kind young man, Michael John Poli. Mike was born on March 18, 1990 in Nyack, NY to parents Bruce and Kim Poli. He died on October 8th 2025 doing what he loved the most, going fast. 

Mikey was funny, fierce, and fearless….a hellion who loved anything with wheels or four legs. He truly was a free spirit who walked this Earth proudly, lived life with no expectations, yet grasped everything it had to offer. Mike always stayed true to who he was and took any opportunity to be of service to others. A wrencher through and through, forming everlasting bonds within his Volkswagen family, proving to be a strong pillar in the community. Michael lived his life confidently, full of adventure, jokes, motor oil, and burnt rubber with sarcasm and strong opinions coarsing through his veins.

He has left behind a beautiful homestead in Syracuse NY, filled with all the things he loved the most - motorcycles, old cars and parts, kitty Chuckie, doggy Dillie, and beloved fiancé Rachael. He worked hard and played even harder. Capable of absolutely anything, Michael built a life worth living and although he was short on time, he certainly made it count.

He did the thing. He stayed the course. He drove his cars. He loved and was loved. And he is now reunited with his best buddy Ernie in Heaven above. Sisters Erin, Laura, Sara, and Meghan, brother Thomas, and many other friends and family will forever miss him as his memory and legacy lives on. Rest easy in the fast lane little homie.
