Robert F. Sticco, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2025. He was the husband of Susan M. Sticco. They had just recently celebrated their 51st anniversary.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Louis and Anne Sticco. He was a graduate of Westhill High School and attended Hiram Scott College. He was self-employed at RS Construction as a general contractor.
He enjoyed being out in nature, hiking and fly fishing at Nine Mile and Salmon River. The mountains of Colorado held a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed reading and writing poetry, music and fiction, and playing guitar. Bob was an avid sports fan, never missing his kids' many sporting events. He was also his grandkids’ biggest fan on the basketball court or soccer field. He was a huge fan of the Yankees and college basketball. Bob loved to cook and he loved to eat, especially oysters, chicken cacciatore and sweet treats baked by Susie. He had a knack for storytelling, especially of his days causing mischief as a boy in Brooklyn. He could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He named all of his trucks and made sure to say “goodnight” to his jeep every night. He would sneak a nap in here and there but swore he, “wasn’t sleeping.”
Bob is survived by his wife, Sue, and his children, Amy Sweeney (Brian), Carrie Pauletti (Keith) and Michael Sticco (Lindsey Sadonis). He was the proud and loving grandfather to Lila Sweeney, Ethan Pauletti, and Callen Pauletti. He is also survived by his sister, Lyn Detor (Joe), and extended family, including numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Anne Sticco.
His family will be holding a celebration of his life at a later date.
