Richard E. Stackiewicz age 84 of Camillus passed away on August 19, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the widower of Helen Eck Stackiewicz of which he was married for 56 years.
Dick was known as "The Chip Man" having been a distributer of Bon-Ton Chips for over 50 years. Recent health issues forced him into retirement this year much to his dislike. He was an avid car enthusiast (Mopar) and quiet supporter of those less fortunate in the Syracuse area. He'd often hire many over the years to assist in different tasks with his business. He instilled a strong work ethic to his family with his dedication to his job and the quote he was known best for was "I'm busy! I gotta go!" as he shuffled off to his next delivery. At 84 he no longer ran.
Dick is survived by his son Richard E. Stackiewicz Jr., his sisters Linda (Dan) Roche and Arlene (Peter) Nevelaine. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Rosalene Stackiewicz, brother Ed Stackiewicz, wife Helen Eck Stackiewicz and children Ronald Stackiewicz, Robert Stackiewicz, and Tina Stackiewicz.
