Celine T. Pelc of Syracuse passed away on August 14, 2025. She was the wife of Charles P. Pelc.
They shared their marriage for 52 years.
Born in Albany, NY she was the daughter of Mary and George Tuchewicz. Celine was a graduate
of Syracuse University with a degree in music. After an initial career as a music teacher, she
was involved in various businesses with her husband. Following in the footsteps of her mother,
Celine was a representative of the Polish National Alliance for many years.
Celine was a life-long communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Syracuse. She was also
a member of the Polish Home.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles P. Pelc and a granddaughter Melissa Yestrumsky
in 2004. She is survived by her two daughters Carolyn (Michael) Yestrumsky of New Braunsfel,
TX, Charlene (Paul) Vellano of Syracuse and a son Charles (Cathy) Pelc of Elbridge. She also had
4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Syracuse NY on Friday August 22 at
9:30am followed by an interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
