Brenda Diane Goodin-Baca-Brookins age 77 passed away on 7/12/25 at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, NY. 

She was the beloved Mother of Ash(ley) Elizabeth Brookins-Applegate.

Born in Bonham, Texas to Benjamin Franklin Goodin & Charlotte Archambault-Goodin.

She Graduated High School from Santa Fe Springs High in California.

She was employed most notably at Catalina Swimwear for 35 years, Huntington Beach Union High School District for 27 years,

and Walmart in Huntington Beach California and Las Vegas Nevada for a combined 16 years.

She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witness congregations in California, Nevada, Arizona and New York. 

She enjoyed spending time with those she loved, enjoying nightly sunsets & feathered friends of all kinds. 

She will be remembered for her outgoing personality filled with love and joy for her fellow humans from all walks of life.

She is Survived by her only child Ash & Cherished Son in law Chris Applegate, 

Grandchildren (her babies) Veda-Ann Audrey Brookins, Haylee Belle Applegate and Zane Michael Applegate, 

along with many furry & feathered Grand's she treasured;(Furry-Venus, Kora, & Bovie)(Feathered-Huey, Dewey, Louie, Chewy, Ruffles, Truffles, Jesus & Maria)

She leaves behind her beloved Sissy's Balinda Chism & Carla Lawson & Cherished Bubba Brother Jimmy Goodin.

along with a multitude of nieces she adored; Carrie, Shanda, Amy, Amber, Laura, Rainy & Misty.

Great Nieces & Nephews; Lily, Anna, Austin, Damon, Nate, Hannah, Layla, Max, Noah, Neva, River &

Baby Greyson(on the way). Great Great Nephew Landon & Great Great Niece Nova Reign. 

She leaves behind Many Treasured Aunts, Uncles & Cousins & extended family whom she will deeply miss including her Aunt Elizabeth Fredrickson & Cousin Davie Archambault.

She was Predeceased by her Parents Charlotte & Benjamin Goodin, Her Brothers Donnie & Ronnie Goodin, Her Nephews Anthony & Michael Goodin, & Robby Pense.

A Memorial Talk will be given at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Central Square New York, Information to follow along with a Zoom link for those out of state to join.
