Viktor Kaplun, 59, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at home. Born and raised in Ukraine, moved to the United States in 2022.

Victor was working as a driver for most of his life. Loved to do remodeling with his brothers and enjoyed helping sisters to take care of plants at garden.  

Enjoyed spending time with his family and was so excited when he got opportunity to go for family reunion few month ago. Surviving are his daughter, Yana Kaplun and wife Elena Kaplun of Ukraine; sisters, Halina Kaplun and Liudmyla (Vladimir) Vovchenko, both of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Oleksander (Liudmyla) of Spartanburg, SC, Sergii (Liliia) of Lakeland NY, and Petro (Alla) of Seattle, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours on Wednesday July 9 at 10am at Hollis Funeral home and  short graveside  service will be held right after, July 9, 2025, at Loomis Hill Cemetery, Syracuse
