We are saddened to announce Tammie Beth Arnold, 65, passed away at home in Central Square, New York on May 22, 2025. Tammie was surrounded by family as she quietly passed from her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Burlington, VT, the second of five siblings, Tammie spent most of her childhood growing up as an Air Force dependent living in Abilene, TX, Plattsburgh, NY and 5 years on Oahu in Hawaii. After her father’s retirement, the family moved to Mt Mansfield Trout Club in Stowe, VT for a number of years. She graduated from Colchester High School, class of 1978.
As an adult Tammie lived, worked, and loved in her home state of Vermont in the Stowe and Burlington areas until moving in with her sister Julie in Central Square, NY the summer of 2020. She graduated from Champlain College in 2002 with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. She held various roles throughout her career, including positions at Rozzi’s Lakeshore Tavern, as Food Service Director at Pillsbury Manor in Burlington, VT, as a CSR Tech at University Medical Center, and as a Supervisor with Sodexo at UVM. She also worked at several beloved establishments along Mountain Road in Stowe, VT, including The Backyard and Three Green Doors.
Though Tammie had no children of her own, she will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family and her fierce loyalty to those she loved. Her favorite pastimes included fishing, drive-in movie nights with her nieces and nephews, and the amazing Halloween parties threw for her young family members.
Tammie was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ralph Harlow of Stowe and Colchester, VT, and Cleona (Marston) Harlow of Sterling and Colchester, VT; her paternal grandparents, William (“Bill”) Arnold and Elizabeth (“Tweet”) Arnold; her father, Thomas L. Arnold; her mother, Veleda Harlow Arnold Lebicki; her beloved cousin, Dori Arnold; her brother-in-law, Ronald Morrissey; and her former partners, David of Stowe, VT, and Marty Cohen of Burlington, VT.
Tammie is survived by her siblings, nieces, and nephews: Julie (Arnold) Magoon Morrissey and her children, Jesse S. Magoon, Shannan (Morrissey) Renk (spouse Jeremiah Renk), and Jaimee Morrissey (Mathew Bilz); Thomas B. Arnold (Renita (Delgado) Arnold) and their children, Renada (Arnold) Blanchard (Colt Blanchard) and Thomas Arnold; James Kevin (Arnold) Harlow (Janet Koppleman); and Theresa (“Terri”) (Arnold) McCall (Herb McCall) and their children, Jon Thomas (“JT”), and Aaron McCall.
She is also survived by her beloved great-nieces and nephews: Violet Arnold, Kitana Hudgens, Thomas Arnold, Lila Blanchard, Reese Blanchard, Madeline Renk, and Lucy Renk.
Tammie is remembered as well by her longtime partner and later friend, Kim Anderson of New Sweden, ME.
Tammie’s anticipated memorial will be held in her beloved state of Vermont at her family’s resting place at Riverside Cemetery Stowe, VT in October 18,2025. Details to be announced.
