Obituary of David J. Perry

David J. Perry Sr., 70, died April 14, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family members following a brief illness.

David was born April 6, 1955 to Mary and Donald Perry. He was a life-long resident of Syracuse, New York, where he raised his family and watched his grandchildren raise theirs. His love for his wife Frances, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family members was deep. He really loved meeting all the new little ones joining the family.

He is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Frances E. Perry, who he has been with since he was 18. He is also survived by his children Carrie L. (Perry) Hollenbeck, David J. Perry Jr. and Vanessa A. Perry. and the many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

He is survived by siblings Donald Perry, Christine (Perry) Lawson, Joan (Perry) Grenier, Mike Perry Sr., Robert Perry, Paul Perry and Judy (Perry) Bennett.

David was known to tinker with cars, with the many tools he had. He worked for Bresee Chevrolet for many years.

His funniness was highlighted by his sarcasm and deep belly laugh. Strong-willed, he never backed down and fought hard until the end of his life. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Upstate Cancer Center or Hospice of Central New York and of the Finger Lakes.
