Obituary of Mark Clyde Murray
Mark Clyde Murray, 71 of Hannibal, passed unexpectedly yet peacefully on April 6th 2025 at Upstate Medical University Hospital. Born at St. Joseph's Hospital only weeks before his future wife of 45 years, he dedicated his life to supporting his family of five children. As a master bookbinder he used his skills to bring new life to everything from public school textbooks, to ancient Bibles and maps. In his youth he was a member of the 1960s-70s counterculture and was a fan of the Beatles, a band he would briefly cover in a Pennsylvania Beatlemania production as a bassist. He enjoyed attending bluegrass concerts, had a taste for anything chocolate, and loved a good book. He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Murray; his five children, Melanie Murray, Paul Murray, Benjamin Murray, Heidi (Patrick) DiBello, and Jonathan (Savannah) Murray; his four grandchildren, Chance, Morgain, Thane, and Yemaya. He was predeceased by his brother Nathan Peter Murray and son in law Albert Martin. A celebration of life will be held this Saturday for dear friends and family from 1-3 PM.
