She will be remembered for her welcoming nature, witty sense of humor, dedication and pride in her family, her generous heart, unforgettable impact that she left with anyone lucky enough to meet her, and pride in her Sicilian heritage. She is survived by her children David (Mary) Swedowski and Marisa (Michael) Schinto, grandchildren Maria and Davita Swedowski, and Talia and Giada Schinto, great-grandpups Xena, Xyla, Cali, and Xander, several nieces and nephews, and all the family she gained over her years through her openhearted character, notably her honorary daughter Karen Williams-Leckie.
She was predeceased by her husband Eugene Swedowski, her parents, Nicola and Maria Duca, and siblings, Isabella Guidetti, Rosa Reda, Nicolina Scheel, Nicola Duca, and Carmella Scheel.
