George Robert Ryan, of Liverpool, passed away at the age of 82 on Monday, March 10.Born in White Plains, NY to parents Jack and Helen Ryan, George lived in the Syracuse area from early childhood, and wed Laura Ryan, nee Woodiel, in 1973. He worked for many years in field sales for the electronics industry; he was a life-long frequent blood donor and never met a game show he didn't like. George was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees and SU Athletics and would welcome a trivia challenge from all comers. His retirement years were filled with travel, conservation work, and performances with the Tom Dooley Choraliers. George was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Jack and Patricia. He is survived by his wife Laura; his sons Colin and Casey; and grandchildren Elliette, Beckett, John Henry, and Aoife Mae.
