Obituary of Lucy Brown

Lucy Anne Brown, 25, passed  peacefully away February 15, 2025 with her devoted fiancé Jeremy McGrath and her mother by her side. Born April 22, 1999, Lucy grew up in the University Neighborhood of Syracuse with her sisters and best friends Eva and Norah and parents Ian S. and Lisa C. Brown. Lucy graduated with Honors from Nottingham HS and went on to earn Bachelors' of Science in both International Business and Management Information Systems, studied abroad in Croatia and graduated Cum Laude from Rochester Institute of Technology. Lucy received her dire diagnosis of an exceedingly rare and advanced form of Osteosarcoma just three weeks before she was to Graduate from RIT. A born leader, she applied her keen intelligence and determination to achieving the best possible outcome and advocated admirably for herself, surprising her doctors with her strength, progress and successful integration of Natural Medicines. As soon and for as long as her health allowed, she was employed by PwC as a Project Consultant, receiving commendations for her collaborations. Lucy and Jeremy were happily inseparable for the last 7 years and planned to be married in the Adirondacks in the Fall. Laughing with her sisters, creating art and her beloved cats, Violet and Mister all helped her endure her most unexpected and difficult journey. Lucy cast a bright light; with a mischievous sparkle and an enormous heart, she will be forever missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at the Lakeshore Country Club on Sat. March 1, 2-5pm.
