Tim McHale sends his condolences to Mary and Maggie and would like it known that:
Jiles was a great man blessed with a heart of gold. I looked to him for leadership and guidance and tried to be more like him. He taught me to be humble, open to other’s opinions, caring and accepting. He instilled in me traits that I took through life, traits that have helped me become a better person. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to be part of his life. I will miss him greatly!

Remembeing the good times we all had while I was in Syracuse as an exchange student 1984-85. I'm so glad we were able to meet again in 2014 and I could bring along my son Aarne. Jiles and Aarne had such a good time together! Jiles was a person to could look up to and count on. Thank you JIles, Mary, Danya and Maggie for taking care of me back then.

My dearest mother Mary, Danya, Drew, and Maggi,
Please, once again accept our condolences.
I knew Jiles by his display of love for all. He was so kind to me, that during my birthday Sept 19 in 2010, he gave me a bunch of rose flower. The very first rose flower gift I received and so far, the only one.
He was a very pleasant man with a beautiful heart of gold.

I am so very sorry for the passing of this great man. Jiles was a mentor early in my career as an Air Traffic Controller. He and I were teamed up when I got my first Supervisor’s job. Jiles taught me how to be a good leader. I’m glad I was able to attend his 90th birthday celebration last August. My deepest sympathy to Mary and the girls.
