Obituary of Dino Augusto Collacchi

Dino Augusto Collacchi passed away on January 1, 2020 with family by his side. He has left a void in the hearts of many who knew him. He is survived by his parents: Augusto and Norma Collacchi, as well as siblings, Fidelio, Annette, Cosette and Donnette. He also leaves behind his sweetheart, Mary and his Aunt Mel, Aunt Lee, Aunt Enza, Uncle Mario, cousins, nieces and nephews. Dino’s profound faith carried him through some dark hours and he often enjoyed meditating at church. He was rarely without a smile or the offering of a kind gesture. He had such a loving and generous spirit. Dino had the gift of expressing himself in a descriptive language and of metaphors. He was passionate about music, especially “The Beatles,” as well as an automobile enthusiast and delighted in joy rides. Dino’s smile, laughter and witty sense of humor will truly be missed. A Private Service was held at Our Lady of Hope, Syracuse, NY. Preparations were meticulously made by Charlie and Eileen Hollis of Hollis Funeral Home.
