Obituary of Patricia Campbell

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patricia Christine Campbell, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, colleague and friend was called home on May 15, 2017.

An alumnus of SUNY Buffalo School of Law, she had practiced law since 1997. She was a zealous advocate of each and every one of her clients and a true believer in achieving fairness.

Prior to her legal career, she cheered professionally as a Buffalo Jill on the cheerleading squad for the Buffalo Bills professional American football team. During her legal career she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for Onondaga County. She also worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Syracuse. She later filed Appeals for St. Lawrence County while practicing as a private practice criminal defense attorney.

“Patti” was a charter member of the William H. Johnson Bar Association of Central New York, where each year she organized and ran a Christmas toy drive to benefit children who would have otherwise gone without. She was an active member of the Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church where she rarely missed service or Sunday school.

She was predeceased by her father, brother and sister. She is survived by her mother; Patricia Campbell, two brothers; Maurice and Stephen Campbell, a sister; Monica O’Dea; five nieces and two nephews.

Patti’s contagious smile, her kind ways and her charisma will surely be missed. May she rest in peace.

A Remembrance Service will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 317 East Jefferson Street, Syracuse NY 13202. Attendees should use the entrance on South State Street across from the Courthouse.
