Homer T. Langdon, 90 died peacefully at home Friday while holding the hand of his loving wife of 65 years. Homer was born in Fulton, NY and lived in Syracuse for most of his life. He was a Communicant of The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.Homer served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a Sales Professional for over 65 years. He was an avid bowler as well as a 50 year member of the Sackett Tract Bowling League and a die-hard NY Yankee fan. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 6282 and the St. Louis Athletic Club. Homer was also a fond patron of Chase’s Cigar Store in Syracuse. Homer was an U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Homer was predeceased by two daughters, Joanne Langdon and Regina Jeong. He was also predeceased by his Mother Iva Mae Cole, His Brothers: Robert and Leonard and his Sisters: Vivian, Marie and Alice. In addition to his loving wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Jakubowski) Langdon. He is survived by his children: Michael (Cathy) Langdon, Diane (Don) Hall, Brian (Cindy) Langdon, Allan Langdon, David (Holly) Langdon, Jerry Langdon, Douglas (Tina) Langdon, Gregory (Virginia) Langdon, Jeffrey (Paige) Langdon and Son-in-Law MinSig Jeong. His Brothers: William, Kenneth & Patrick, His Sisters: Marge, AnnaMae, Viola, Gladys & Rita. Homer was blessed with 28 Grandchildren: Gregory, Melissa (John Caputo) and Nicholas Langdon; Sabrina (Kevin) Lasher; David (Nichole) Hall; Joanne, Brian and Mindy Langdon; Justin, Jordan and Jessica Jeong; Joshua, Stewart and Jeremy Langdon; Hali, Stephen and Abagail Langdon; Alexander Langdon and Nicholas Holman; Alexia and Marissa Langdon; Phoebe, Maxwell, Kyle and Sophie Langdon; Riggs, Rebecca and Zachary Langdon. He was also blessed with 7 Great-Grandchildren: Jazmyn Langdon; Sidney and Kameron Langdon; Teagan and Griffin Lasher; Jackson Caputo and Samantha Hall. Calling Hours: Monday 4 to 7; Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. Funeral Service: Tuesday at 9am at Hollis Funeral Home and 10am at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; 927 Park Ave., Syracuse. Donations can be made by Check to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry (927 Park Ave., Syracuse.)
